My name is Britney McClendon, and it is an honor and privilege to return and teach at JRS CDCA. I recently obtained my bachelor's degree in elementary education from Alabama A&M University. I have been in education for 4 years working as an elementary teacher. Here at JRS CDCA, I taught K3, kindergarten, and now first grade. I am a member of St. Mark Baptist Church in Huntsville, AL. There I serve as a teacher for the student ministries worship service. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, community service, and shopping. My favorite quote is by Quintilian, “the role of an educator is to arrange victories for students”. My philosophy as a Christian educator is to teach with God first and build students learning confidence so that every day they leave with a victory, whether big or small.
