My name is Lakisha Richardson, and it is an honor to have the opportunity to be a member of the JRSCDCA Team.  It has been a wonderful 2 years working with my coworkers and these dynamic scholars.  I have been in Huntsville for two years now, having relocated from Auburn, Alabama.

I have been in education for more than 10 years; and have always enjoyed working with children. I am an only child to two wonderful parents who have been married for 40 years.  I have 3 amazing children (two girls and one boy) who keep me busy every day. Their ages range from 21 years, 14 years to age 7.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love to return home to Auburn, to visit my parents and eat authentic hoe cooked meals. I also love to shop, take trips and just spend time with my children.  I consider myself a real country girl who rides 4-wheeler and participates in mud riding. Other times I would just sit at home and watch a movie or entertain my children, binge watching anything that they suggest.

My birthday is August 28 and my favorite color is red. I am a big kid at heart who enjoys lots of fun and laughter and having great cookouts in my backyard.

My philosophy as an educator is to teach and treat each scholar as my own. That’s what I’ve been doing for many years.
